Fraud Alert: Protect Yourself from Caller ID Spoofing Scams
Scammers Are Pretending to Be Garden Savings FCU
Garden Savings FCU has received reports of scammers spoofing our phone number and calling members about supposed fraudulent card activity.
The caller may claim there is a suspicious transaction on your debit or credit card and ask you to verify your card number, security code, online banking credentials, or a one-time passcode.
Don't be fooled. Even if the call appears to come from Garden Savings, caller ID can be manipulated by scammers.
Remember:
- Garden Savings will never ask for your full card number, PIN, online banking password, or security codes over the phone.
- If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately.
- Contact Garden Savings directly using the number on the back of your card or through our official website.
- Monitor your accounts regularly and report any unauthorized activity immediately.
Red Flags:
- Urgent requests to verify account information
- Requests for card numbers, passwords, or PINs
- Demands for one-time passcodes sent to your phone
- Threats that your account will be frozen if you do not act immediately
When in doubt, hang up and call us directly. Protecting your financial security is our priority.
At Garden Savings Federal Credit Union, we want to help you protect yourself from fraud and identity theft. The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) has many resources to help keep your identity and financial information secure.
